The Most Baffling Rule/Mechanic/Quote of the Year is an award that is given once annually as a part of the Ogre Awards, known more commonly as The Oggies. In order to be eligible for nomination, a rule, mechanic, or quote of extremely baffling quality must been found in a game released between August 1st of the previous year to July 31st of the year of the awards (i.e. for awards in 2013, the eligible release dates are August 1st, 2012 to July 31st, 2013).
