The Organization of Gamers & Roleplaying Enthusiasts

Ogres Handbook

The Ranks Pamphlet is a supplemental booklet of the MHB

Ranks within the Organization of Gamers & Roleplaying Enthusiasts are an optional and fun system to acknowledge those members who have been within the OGREs for a long period of time, held and exceeded the goals of a office, or performed a worthy deed. These fictional ranks are not used by all chapters, but are intended to help members recognize another member's contribution to O.G.R.E.s and provide another fun avenue of membership.

The rank structure of O.G.R.E.s is similar to that of fictional sword-and-sorcery medieval infantry units made famous in numerous role-playing games and fantasy works. These ranks provide no real-world authority or ability to manage another member with a "lesser" rank.

Members who are users here on Ogres Wiki are able to showcase their respective rank through the use of the appropriate User Boxes. If a member may be eligible for a rank but has not received it, he or she can be nominated via the Rank Promotion Nomination and Discussion Forum, where any general discussion on changes or additions to the ranks system may also be discussed.

Cadet Corps[]

The Cadet Corps is a ranking system for the extreme youth members of O.G.R.E.s, typically those below the age of thirteen. These members may still have a rank name and insignia, though the prefix "Cadet-" will follow. Thus, a member below the age of 13 who has fulfilled all the requirements and been promoted to Corporal will be known as a Cadet-Corporal. After turning thirteen, the individual will remove the Cadet term from their rank, and will then be considered the full rank.

Enlisted Ranks[]

These are ranks that members of any chapter may go by without ever having been an Officer in any capacity within O.G.R.E.s. For members, the preferred purchasing link is also given to make it easy to locate a patch for you to proudly display your own rank! Note that the requirements may be ignored by Officers if deemed worthy, which may result from a member receiving Awards or any other proper reason.
